I’ve been a mover for most of my life. My passion for movement began at a young age when my parents enrolled me into dance class at two years old. Practicing, performing, and attending workshops became an everyday part of my childhood and adolescent years in one way or another. I took a break from dance when I turned towards the gym to explore the health and fitness industry.
While in search of an exercise that I could not only enjoy physically but mindfully as well, I came across reformer Pilates. I immediately found Pilates to be the ideal mix of lengthening, strengthening, alignment, breathwork, flow, and coordination.
With everything I’ve learned over the years and everything I continue to learn, I have a bigger passion to share it with others. I am a Pilates instructor trained with 450 hours in reformer, springboard, wunda chair, cadillac, and ladder barrel. Moving forward, I’m currently studying for my PMA certification. I also teach Barre which ties even closer to my dance background.
Pilates and Barre are both low intensity exercises. However, don’t underestimate the power! Prepare to potentially experience the burn and shake — It’s only because we will be tapping into deeper and smaller muscle groups which don’t always receive love . With proper form, both workouts pack a big punch in results and can supplement your lifestyle.
Pilates also helps promote a stronger spine and pelvic floor because the focus is in the body’s core increasing stability and alignment. My group classes are designed to be upbeat and creative while bringing a variety of exercises to maximize your session. Private sessions are focused specifically into your individual goals. New to Pilates and looking for a personal intro session before jumping into group classes? Have an injury, but still want to exercise? Want a one hour Pilates class specifically designed for you?
